The family of Centelia Angelina Abraham better known as Angie of Mt. Parnassus, St. George’s, Grenada announces with deep regret and sadness, of her passing on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She died at Kingsbrook Jewish Hospital, in Brooklyn, N.Y. at the age of 87.
She was the widow of the late Albert Abraham a former Chief Educational Officer, (Grenada)
She is survived by her children - Princess Thomas, Fitz-Albert, Roger-Hilaire, Stephen and Michael.
Grandchildren – Ashley, Fitz, Jason, Michael, Femke, Aisha, Abigail, Immanuel; Steven, Gina, Kyle, David, Michael, Paul, Michaella, and six great grandchildren.
Son-in-law; Francis and two daughters-in-law; Rosa and Veerle.
She was the sister of Theresa Holder in Grenada; Fitzroy and Vera Adolphus in the U.S. Sister-in-law of Violet McPhie in Trinidad.
Aunt of many including Simon Lewis and the Holder family Grenada, Merlin Lucien, Patrick Mc. Farline and other members of the Adolphus family in the U.S and Grenada; also, Liz John in Trinidad.
Numerous other relatives and friends including Jacinta Abraham, Tonie Armstead, Joan Horsford, Constance Joseph, as well as the Paynter, Ghust, Ventour, Brathwaite, Medford, O’Neale, Mc Phie, Burke, Superville, Alexander, Abraham, Thomas and Bramble families.
Funeral service for the late Angelina Abraham will take place on Wednesday September 6, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church located at 1417 Union Street at the corner of Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Viewing will be from 5:00 PM followed by the service at 7:00 PM. Interment will take place on September 7th at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, New York at 10.00 AM
