Charles Simon Walcott also known as, “Sio,” or Charlie was born on October 4th, 1952, in Munich, St. Andrew, Grenada, passed away on November 17th, 2022, at his home in Brooklyn, New York.

Simon was a beloved figure in the Munich community. He migrated to the United States in 1990 and settled in Brooklyn NY, where resided with his wife and family. Over the years, while he was gainfully employed, conducting various jobs, his profession was that of a construction mason, where he found work with many differing companies; whatever he did, or wherever he was employed, “Sio” was a perfectionist, making everything look professional.

Simon is survived by his wife Catherine, his children Jason and Johnson George, and Judy Lewis, residing in the United States, along with seven grandchildren, his mother Remona Rougier in Grenada. His sisters Ann Walcott residing in Canada and Mary Rougier in the United States, his brothers Joseph Walcott in Trinidad, Gilbert Rougier in Grenada, Erick, Errol, Augustine, and Paul Lord, residing in the United Kingdom. His son-in-law, Royston Lewis, his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth and Agnes George in the United States, Theresa Joseph in Grenada. His brothers-in-law, Samuel George, in the United States, and Stephen George, in St Croix. His aunt Doria Walcott, in Grenada, his uncle Emmanuel Lord in Texas. Several nieces and nephews including Cynthia George, Wendy, Natalie, Kelvin Bobb, Otis Charles, and Andy Walcott. Other relatives and friends including Sandra Simon, Marilyn and Lillian Joseph, Michael Joseph also known as Pam Pam, and David; the Lord, Walcott and Rougier families of Munich, St. Andrew, Grenada, others residing in New York, Grenada, Trinidad, and the United Kingdom.

The family of the late Charles Simon Walcott would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who have helped us during this time of bereavement.

The memorial service for Charles Simon Walcott will be held at the Holy Cross R.C. Church in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. The funeral service will be held at the Munich Holy Cross R.C. Church, and burial will be at the family cemetery in Munich (Tuileries), St. Andrew, Grenada.
