OLD HEALTH CENTER IN ST. DAVID'S BEING REFURBISHED  
The Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport has commenced refurbishment on the old Health Center in St. David’s. The building when completed will temporarily house the Magistrate’s Court. A site visit was made by Ms. Avril Trotman Solicitor General, Ashley Bernadine Committee Chairman and Keith Friday, Senior Legal Council of the Bar Association. They were also accompanied by Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Legal Affairs Raphael Joseph and Ministry of Works Engineers; Crofton Hannibal and Ramon Harricharran. Work on the old Health Center includes the refurbishment of the roof, toilets, flooring and wood work. New electrical and plumbing systems will also be installed. The Project is expected to be completed in the next two weeks. The Court House and Revenue Office were terribly damaged as a result of Hurricane Ivan, however, work has already commenced on the building with the estimated time for completion being November 2005.
