The Forestry and National Parks Department under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Forestry and Fisheries would be conducting a three weeks training course in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the use of the Alaskan, Logosol and Gig Saw Mills. The training would be engaging staff members of the Forestry Department and local participants. Feature Items on the agenda would include: ·Assembling of the respective equipment ·Safety measures while using the equipment ·Care and maintenance of equipment and ·Practical use of the equipment. VENUE: Grand Etang Nursery Site. DATE & TIME: Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The purpose of the training is to teach persons how to use these mills to convert logs into boards in the field. At the end of the training contractual arrangements can be made between the Forestry Department and interesting parties.
