GRENADA PM STARTS CHINA TOUR
The Prime Minister of Grenada, Keith Mitchell, arrived in Beijing on Thursday morning, to begin a five-day official visit to China as the guest of Premier Wen Jiabao. It is Mitchell's first visit since the two countries resumed diplomatic ties in January. During Mitchell's stay, he will hold talks with Wen Jiabao and meet with Vice President Zeng Qinghong. The two sides will sign a series of cooperative agreements. Besides Beijing, Mitchell will also visit Shanghai, China's economic hub, and Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou province. Grenada first established diplomatic relations with China in October 1985. China suspended its ties with Grenada in August 1989, after the latter openly recognized the Taiwan authority in June of that year. Reprinted from chinabroadcast.cn
