Grenada's 2004 Carnival Queen, Miss Nicole Seales, has returned to the island after a dazzling performance at the Miss Carival beauty pageant held on Friday July 1st at the Victoria Park, Kingstown, St. Vincent. Appearing as delegate No. 5, Nicole was able to make her mark from the introduction in National wear. Her swimwear appearance was well received. The Heather Jones design did justice to the height, grace and elegance of Nicole. The talent segment really brought out the best in Nicole. Her rendition, on single tenor pan, of Celine Dion’s "I Am Alive" was one of the highlights of the entire evening. Accompanied by an uptempo instrumental version of the song, Nicole laid down a masterful performance that would have made her tutor David “Peck” Edwards, extremely proud. Beauty and grace reigned supreme as Nicole strutted another Heather Jones creation. The evening gown depicting the “Beauty of the Sunset” did justice to her height and build. Accented by a pair of sparkling earrings and matching necklace, her discerning smile completed a spectacular appearance. If there was any doubt that Nicole was going to place in the top three those doubts were emphatically dispelled during the interview portion of the show. When the facilitator asked Nicole about Grenada’s recovery from Ivan Hurricane she immediately used the opportunity to thank the Government and People of St. Vincent for assisting Grenada during our most desperate time of need. She absolutely aced her two interview questions eliciting tremendous applause from the audience on both occasions. After a great evening of superb Caribbean talent highlighted by splendor and charm, Nicole was pronounced the first runner-up with Miss SVG copping the coveted Miss Carival title.
