HYPE EXTENDED  
Members of the HYPE program have an extended two weeks stay in Grenada. The team of young people from Trinidad part of the Help Yourself Prepare for Employment program has been in Grenada for three weeks so far. Initially it was intended that the group stay for a month, however considering their workload in Grenada, Minister of Communication, Works and Transport, Clarice Modeste-Curwen, arranged for the group to stay two weeks longer. Fifty students and five tutors are here from Trinidad and they are joined by 34 Grenadians. The team has been involved in rebuilding public buildings and dwelling houses. They have completed the Grand Mal Community Center, 1 house in Beausejour,3 in Grand Roy and 3 in Chantimelle. There are many ongoing projects as well including the No. 1 Court house in St. George’s; dwelling houses in Beausejour, Victoria and Chantimelle. Work will also commence on the Immigration Office in St. George’s. The HYPE program is progressing well and the two- fold aim of assisting in the restoration and process and training young people are being achieved.
