HIVAIDS is fast becoming one of the main dangers to young people the world over and as such Grenada of course is no exception. In a continuing effort to educate the Grenadian public about these deadly diseases Spice Youth Promotion continued its HIV/AIDS Awareness campaign around the country with a visit to the town of Grenville and environs on Saturday July 2nd 2005. The members of the Spice Youth Promotions’ HIV/AIDS Awareness Committee took the opportunity to share with the people of Grenville information on the spread of HIV/AIDS, the importance of safe sexual practices foremost of which is abstinence and the importance of getting tested especially among certain groups of people such as pregnant mothers and person with multiple sexual partners. Several members of the public congratulated Spice Youth Promotion on the work that they were doing in the community and encouraged them to do more of these activities especially with the advent of the carnival season.
