Hillsborough, Carriacou, May 4th, 2010- A grand gospel concert will be held to celebrate International Family Day 2010 on the sister isle of Carriacou. The event, which is being organised by the Division of Gender and Family Affairs within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, is carded for Saturday, May 15th. It will be held at the Hillsborough Tennis Court. Gender Co-ordinator Vinishah Cudjoe said the activity will focus on delivering positive messages through songs, drumming, poetry and dance. Invitations to participate have been extended to churches, community groups and schools. Gospel Band Jade out of Grenada will also be there to entertain persons in attendance. Ms. Cudjoe said patrons would be asked to make a monetary contribution to assist families in crisis on the island.
