Hillsborough, Carriacou, May 12, 2010 –The construction of the Top Hill/Belair Road is progressing steadily with over 800ft of concrete already used in getting the project completed. The road is more than 2900ft in length. The road, which leads to the lone Princess Royal Hospital, can be dubbed as a hallmark of the Tillman Thomas-led administration. Previous governments had promised to fix the road but it was never fulfilled. Senator George Prime, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, has commended the two project contractors, Simon Lendore and Karl Benjamin, for the progress being made in finishing the road. Meanwhile, government’s road maintenance and debushing program is on stream in Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Five gangs are working in various parts of the islands.
