ST. GEORGE NORTH EAST FOOTBALL UPDATE - (7TH JUNE 2010)...
click
ST GEORGE'S, June 7, 2010 - A goal a piece in each half from Jimmy Braveboy and Danny St. Louis saw Hampshire United (of New Hampshire) defeated Legacy Valley Beaulieu by two goals to nil at the Vendome playing field on Monday. This result means that Hampshire United join fellow villagers Red Out into the semi-finals. It also means that Legacy Valley Beaulieu joins neighbours Boca Strikers in failing to progress to the next round. At this stage Tempe All Blacks, Vendome Marvelites, St. George U 20 and Brothers United are all chasing the two remaining places in the semi-finals. On Tuesday Boca Strikers will host Tempe All Blacks at the Vendome playing field. *Protest raised by Vendome Marvelites* Vendome Marvelites have raised a protest to the St. George North East Football Committee following their loss to the St. George U 20 squad on Sunday 6th June 2010. Vendome Marvelites claimed that ..."members who did not belong to the ... St. George's Under Twenty (20) were played at the game and in addition, these members were over the stipulated age limit of the team." Vendome Marvelites are requesting a rematch or a forfeit of the points gained from the match. The matter is currently being investigated.
