GRENADA - The annual sports meet of the Boca Secondary School (BSS) is scheduled to take place at the Grenada National Stadium on Friday February 11, 2011. The starting time is 10 am. The school has held a number of competitive events leading up to the sports meet comprising of the “Around the Bamboo’, cross country and road relay. A number of exciting track and field events will be staged on sports day and the school invites the general public to come out and support the athletes who have been training very hard for the upcoming events. The current points standing reads: Antoine’s House (Green) – 377 Bishop’s House (Red) – 446 Edward’s House (Yellow) – 369 Marryshow’s House (Blue) – 390 The four houses will be competing against each other for the coveted March Past and Sports Champions trophies on sports day. The cost of admission to the sports meeting is EC $7.00 for adults and EC$3.00 for students and children. All proceeds are in aid of assisting Ramie Daniel - a student of the school - who Is currently in need of serious medical attention. Ramie is suffering from Guillain Barre Syndrome (a serious disorder that occurs when the body's defense (immune) system mistakenly attacks part of the nervous system. This leads to nerve inflammation that causes muscle weakness).
