Kerry Bristow, a former student of the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (SAASS) has been awarded the John Warner Sociology Award at the 2008-09 Award Ceremony of West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) in the United States. The young footballer is pursuing academic studies in the United States as a result of the noble efforts of the Marlon Glean Soccer Camp. Bristow started attending WVWC in 2007 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and graduated in 2009 after obtaining his Associate degree from Marshalltown Community College in Iowa. Bristow is expected to complete a second Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in May of this year. This is not the end of the line for him though, because he intends to do his Masters with West Virginia University in the fall of 2010. By Wallace A J Inside Grenada News
