Police have detained two men who are currently assisting them in their investigations into the death of a twenty-nine year old woman from Mt. Horne, St. Andrew’s. One of the detainees is alleged to be the boyfriend of the victim. The lifeless body of Keisha Romain of Pole, Mt. Horne, was discovered yesterday in an area at Paraclete covered under some leaves. This caused mass commotion in the area as persons from Paraclete and surrounding villages flocked to the scene of the discovery, some to satisfy their curiosity and others to try and make some sense of this tragic and unbelievable incident. According to a police report, a post mortem was conducted on the body this morning and the cause of death has been established as strangulation. Persons who know Keisha has described her as a very kind, helpful and friendly young woman who was not known to be in any confusion or altercation with anyone. She has two young children who are now left motherless. The death of Keisha has brought the amount of murders on the island for the year to five.
