ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Monday, June 28, 2010: The Ministry of Finance wishes to inform the general public that, due to a fire in Grenville on Sunday June 27, 2010, the District Revenue Office (DRO) in Grenville has been temporarily relocated to upstairs the Agricultural Office on Seaton James Street, Grenville. The Minister of Finance, together with Senior Officials of the Ministry of Finance, toured the building which housed the DRO, earlier today, and in the interest of serving the public, made the decision to relocate to the temporary location in light of the serious damage to the premises. The Ministry wishes to assure all that, thanks of the efforts of the Police and volunteers, our records are in tact. In addition, there was little or no damage to our equipment. Accordingly, we will resume the payment of Pension, Public Assistance and Salaries tomorrow, June 29, 2010, at the new location. The public is further advised that the payment of all taxes, including Property Tax, and Vehicular Licenses will resume on Wednesday June 30, 2010, at the new location.
