ST. GEORGE NORTH EAST FOOTBALL UPDATE - 6TH JUNE 2010  
ST GEORGE'S, June 6, 2010 - Vendome Marvelites stumbled to their third defeat of the season while Red Out maintained their perfect record in the double header held at Horeb in New Hampshire on Sunday. The St. George U 20 came from a goal down to defeat Vendome Marvelites by two (2) goals to nil in the first encounter. Sean Jones put Marvelites ahead from the penalty spot after referee Anthony Modeste had awarded a penalty but the St. George U 20 struck back with a goal in each half from Wendell Morrain and "Buju" Lewis respectively. In the second game two first half goals from Wendell Bridgeman were enough to secure the points for Red Out of New Hampshire at the expense of fellow villagers Brothers United. This victory lifted Red Out to fifteen (15) points and the assurance of qualification into the next round of the competition. Hampshire United remain on twelve (12) points in second position ahead of Vendome Marvelites in third position also with twelve (12) points, on a superior goal difference. Brothers United remain on ten (10) points in fourth position. The St. George U 20 have now advanced to fifth position with seven (7)points the same amount as Legacy Valley Beaulieu in sixth position but with a superior goal difference. Tempe All Blacks are now on four (4) points in seventh position. Boca Strikers round off the table in the eight position with three (3)points and are the only team without a chance of qualifying for the next round. On Monday Legacy Valley Beaulieu will host Hampshire United at the Vendome playing field.
