Prime Minister Keith Mitchell on Fridary morning (January 14) received a cheque for $134,000 (TT) from Communication Specialists Limited Managing Director Neil Giuseppi. The money represents the proceeds from “The Voice of Love … the Grenada Relief Concert,” which took place in Trinidad on October 3, 2004. The Prime Minister extended appreciation for the cheque on behalf of the Government and people of Grenada. “This represents a tremendous show of support in our time of greatest need,” the Prime Minister said. The successful concert, which was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, featured performances by several Trinidadian entertainers, including the Black Stalin, Denyse Plummer, Exodus Steel Orchestra, the Malick Folk Performers, the Shiv Shakti Dancers, Rooplal Gidharie and 3 Canal.
