A donation of medical supplies worth over US$20,000 was handed over to Minister of Health Senator Ann David-Antoine for the people of Grenada. The money was raised in a September 2004 Radio Telethon by the people of the British Virgin Island (BVI) in response to the devastation caused by the passage of Hurricane Ivan on Grenada. Businessman, Mr. Merritt A. Herbert, and Ms. Emerald Pemberton of the BVI Nurses’ Association made the presentation during a brief ceremony at the Ministerial Complex on January 24th, 2004.
