Tax-free shopping week begins today for purchases under $110 of clothing and footwear. Items considered as none-taxable this week include athletic clothing and sports uniforms, fabric, thread, yarn, buttons, zippers, ties and scarves and diapers for children or adults, including disposables. Manufacturer’s coupons do not count when determining whether an item is less than $110, according to the New York City Department of Finance.
