Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Elvin Nimrod and Minister for Business and Private Sector Development and National Security Senator Einstein Louison and two officials leave the state on Tuesday, 1st February to attend the People’s Republic of China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and Trade Fair in Kingston, Jamaica. This first China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and Trade Fair takes place from February 2 to 5, and will be jointly hosted by the Government of Jamaica and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The Forum and Fair are intended to deepen trade and economic ties between the People’s Republic of China and the Caribbean. Minister Nimrod joins his Caribbean counterparts and will lead Grenada’s delegation that will participate in the Forum. “Promoting Cooperation for Common Development” is the theme of the Forum and topics for discussion include: Promoting Trade and Investment between China and the Caribbean; Enhancing economic and technical cooperation between China and the Caribbean; Increasing communication and cooperation between communities of China and the Caribbean.
