In response to the number of requests from the general public to extend the deadline for submission of nominations for the 2005 Independence Awards, the National Celebrations Committee, in the spirit of wanting to provide everyone with the opportunity to be considered, has decided to extend the deadline for the submission of nominations to February 28, 2005. In this regard, the National Awards Ceremony will now take place on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 7.00p.m. at the Grenada Trade Center, Morne Rouge, St. George.
