Work has started on two houses in the Parish of St. George as part of the Commonwealth Youth Volunteer Corps.
Young men from Anguilla, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada are conducting work this week in Springs and Belmont.
The project, which was launched last week, seeks to engage more than 20 young persons in volunteer reconstruction work. They will assist in setting up more than 24 prefabricated and wooden houses.
The Department of Youth Development in the Prime Minister’s Office, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) Caribbean Centre and the Housing Authority of Grenada, has organized the programme.
The teams will conduct work in the Parishes of St. George, St. David and St. Andrew.
