YOUTH DEPARTMENT COLLABORATES WITH BRITISH SCHOOLS FOR ...
The Department of Youth Development in the Prime Minister’s Office has collaborated with the Friends of Grenada Hospital Association in England to facilitate the presence of four Grenadian students at a students’ conference in Sheffield, England. Kera Bowen and Stelon Cadoo, students attending the St. Michael’s R.C. school and Ahkim Mc Sween and Angella Williams from St. Matthew’s R.C. school are representing Grenada at this event. They are being accompanied by Assistant Youth officer in the Department of Youth Development, Deslyn Williams. The students, who are between the ages of 11-14, will attend the two-day conference which runs from Saturday (19th March, 2005)-Sunday (20th March, 2005). The conference aims to foster better relations between young people in Grenada and England and will see students participate in youth development activities. Whilst in England the students will be staying with Grenadian and British families. The trip, which has been endorsed by Cabinet and the Ministry of Education, is being facilitated by the Friends of Grenada Hospital Association.
