The Government of Grenada and the World Heart Federation will soon launch a major research project aimed at improving the general health of the population. Grenada has been chosen by the World Heart Federation as the site for an intensive cardiac study which will lead to better cardiac care and enhanced preventative measures for cardiac diseases. On Monday April 11, a team from the World Heart Federation met with Prime Minister Dr. The Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell to discuss the project. In the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his support for the Grenada Heart Project. The Prime Minister said that it is important for people to be concerned about their health and he believed that this study would lead to greater health consciousness among the general population.
