The Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport, wishes to inform the public that the Vincennes Bridge has been completed and is now reopened to motorists and pedestrians. The bridge which was under construction through the Bridges and Roads Improvement Project (BRIMP) of the Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport was completed at the end of March 2005. Officials from the Ministry of Works and the contractor for the project Dessau Soprin facilitated a community meeting at Vincennes to discuss the project in July 2004. Several suggestions were made during the community meeting and the government made note of them. Construction commenced in August 2004 with the building of a temporary pedestrian bridge however, the project was delayed due to the passage of Hurricane Ivan.
