Following the presentation of the 2005 Budget, the Government of Grenada has established an exempt threshold for the lowest income segments of the population from making contributions to the Reconstruction and Development Fund. The threshold is likely to exempt the first thousand dollars for workers earning less than five thousand dollars. This exemption will give relief to workers in the lowest income groups and is in keeping with Government’s policy of providing assistance and relief to the most vulnerable groups in society.
