The new roof is already completed, as work continues on the old Health Centre, in St. David’s. The Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport commenced refurbishment work on the building two weeks ago, to temporarily house the Magistrate’s Court. Work on the old Health Centre includes the refurbishment of the roof, toilets, flooring and wood work; Electrical and plumbing will also be done. With the roof completed the contractor is currently working on the flooring. The Court House, Revenue Office, Post Office and Police Station in St.David’s were all housed in one building. This building was terribly damaged as a result of Hurricane Ivan, however work has already commenced on the building with the estimated time for completion being November 2005.
