Despite having been ravaged by Hurricane Ivan Grenada has recovered its beautiful flora in a short space of time. Thus enabling team Grenada to participate in this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show in Chelsea, England. The exhibition runs from the 23rd to the 28th of May 2005. This year the sponsors are the Grenada Board of Tourism and the Horticulture Society of Grenada. The designers and growers of Grenada at Chelsea are aiming to create a floral exhibition which will portray an island that is vibrant and beautiful. This year’s exhibition will be dedicated to all the people of the Caribbean who suffered from the devastating effects of Hurricane Ivan and it also extends appreciation to all the persons and organizations around the world that are involved in the ongoing recovery efforts. In the past seven years Team Grenada at Chelsea has successfully been awarded silver in 1998, silver in 1999 and 2000 followed by gold in 2001,02,03,04.
