The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Culture and Performing Arts expresses deep regret to the family of the late Mrs. Gertrude Protain on her passing. Mrs. Protain has been a stalwart of the tourism sector and has given yeoman service to the development of tourism in Grenada. She was a long- serving member of the Board of Directors of the Grenada Board of Tourism, and was in the forefront of the promotion of the cruise sector. Mrs. Protain started working in the tourism sector in the 1960s until 1998. She continued to serve the cruise sector when she joined the firm of George F. Huggins after her retirement. She will be missed, but will always be remembered for her contribution to the tourism industry in Grenada. Our sympathies are with the family. Source: Ministry of Tourism
