The Physical Planning Unit (PPU) of the Ministry of Finance is currently actively enforcing the Physical Planning and Development Control Act. With respect to Development Control, four (4) illegal settlements were demolished during the month of April, in the following areas: Lagoon Road, Grand Anse, Marine Villa and Lance Aux Epines. The Unit has issued additional notices and will be demolishing illegal structures during the month of May, in the following areas: River Road, Point Salines Main Road and Port Highway. Persons who have been served notices in these areas are asked to consider these notices seriously and to act accordingly. The public is further advised that the Physical Planning Unit has prepared a demolition schedule and will be removing illegal structures across the country every month.
