MINISTER OF FINANCE AT CDB BOARD OF GOVERNORS MEETING  
Minister of Finance, Hon. Anthony Boatswain, left the state yesterday Wednesday, May 18, 2005, for Guyana, to participate in the 35th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB). The Prime Ministers of Barbados, St. Kitts, Belize and Dominica are expected to be among the 200 delegates attending the four days of meetings of the Bank. The meeting will be chaired by Guyana’s President Mr. Bharrat Jagdeo. The meeting is expected to give Governors an opportunity to share their perspectives on the operations of the Bank and will include a special session on expanding membership of the Bank. The CDB is a regional financial institution whose headquarters are in Barbados. Regional members include, Anguilla, Antigua, Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Colombia, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Mexico, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the Turks and Caicos Islands and Venezuela. Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela are non-borrowing members. Non-Regional members are Canada, China, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Source: Ministry of Finance, Industry & Planning
