The Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport advises the general public that the “Lodge” building Carenage St. George’s will be demolished on Sunday May 29th 2005 by contractor, Ernest Marshall Construction Company. The safety of the building was investigated by Physical Planning and the Ministry of Works after the passage of Hurricane Ivan. It was discovered that the building was unsafe and poses a serious danger to motorists and pedestrians. The Ministry of Works apologizes for the delayed response in demolishing the building.
