The Ministry of Health and the Environment has been the beneficiary of much needed laboratory equipment in the last two(2) weeks. The purchase of this equipment was made possible through PAHO/WHO who secured funding from ECHO/DIFID. The total value of the equipment is estimated to be US $66,105 or EC $179,600.00. The equipment includes a Microscope, Electrolyte Analyzer and Autoclaves, Bio-Safety Cabinet and I.D. Gel System Workstation. Four(4) washers worth US $30,577.40 were also received. These washers will be installed at Princess Alice Hospital, Richmond Home and General Hospital Laundry. The Government of Grenada has also secured funding to purchase two(2) Chemical Analysers and a Thrombo screen. Source: Ministry of Health
