Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister with special responsibility for Youth, Senator the Honorable Emmalin Pierre has paid courtesy calls to several primary schools on the sister isle of Carriacou. Sen. Pierre made the visit to the schools as part of her “Minister Meets the Youth Programme” which has seen her make visits to several schools throughout Grenada as well as many village meetings. Sen. Pierre paid visits to the Dover Government School, Harvey Vale Government School, L’ Esterre RC School and the Mt. Pleasant Government School. The Senator, who was accompanied by the Carriacou team of the Ministry of Youth, spoke to the students on the importance of thinking before acting as a means of conflict resolution, as well as the importance of honesty and of doing the right thing no matter what. In each school the Minister was greeted by enthusiastic and well behaved students with intelligent questions and wonderful cultural performances. The Minister meets the Youth programme continues throughout the state, encouraging the youth to be positive and productive, and at the same time provides an avenue for them to express their concerns on various issues.
