TWO TESTS FOR WINDIES IN SRI LANKA
ST JOHN'S, Antigua (CMC) - West Indies will play two Tests and a triangular One-day International series on their visit to Sri Lanka, starting next month. The West Indies Cricket Board has reached agreement with Cricket Sri Lanka to host the team for Tests, beginning on July 14 and 22. West Indies will then face the hosts and India twice in the three-nation One-day series that culminates with the Final at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on August 14. West Indies have never won a Test in Sri Lanka. In four previous tries, they have lost four times and drew once. On their last tour there, they lost every single Test, despite a phenomenal performance from batting kingpin Brian Lara, who lashed three hundreds, including one in each innings of the third Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club, on his way to a series aggregate of 688 runs.
