St. George’s: The Ministry of Communication, Works and Transport, advises the general public that Springs to Woodlands Main Road will be closed from Thursday June 23rd to August 1st 2005. This closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction work in the area. Residents within the affected area are kindly requested to use the following detour routes: Café Road via Golf Course to the Grand Anse Main Road. One way traffic from Springs Road to Belmont Main Road via Jean Anglais. (Only light vehicles will be permitted to use this route.) One way traffic from Belmont Main Road to Springs Main Road via Springs Government School Road. (Only light vehicles will be permitted to use this route.) Motorists from outside the Springs area are requested to use the following detour routes. Marian through Morne Jaloux to Richmond Hill. Woodlands to Grand Anse Main Road. One way traffic from Morne Jaloux Road to Springs Main Road via Defou Road. Access will be provided to passenger buses serving residents of Springs but delays must be expected. The Ministry of Communications Works and Transportation apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of the road closure.
