LARA’S XI WINS TSUNAMI RELIEF MATCH  
LONDON, England: West Indies' star batsman Brian Lara hit just nine runs, but skippered an International XI team to a six wickets win over defeated an Asia XI in a Twenty20 cricket match for tsunami relief at The Oval in London on Monday. Australian opener Greg Blewett stroked an undefeated 91 from just 61 deliveries with seven boundaries and five sixes to help the Lara-led XI reached their victory target of 161 for the loss of four wickets off 18.1 overs. New Zealand's middle-order batsman Scott Styris supported with 39 not out from 18-balls. When Asia XI batted, captain Rahul Dravid of India hit a superb 47-ball 62 runs, supported by Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya (27), Mahela Jayawardene (24) and Kumar Sangakkara (15) as the Asians were bowled out for 157 with five balls remaining. Former England all-rounder Adam Hollioake came out of retirement to play in the match and despite a long flight from Australia, he dismissed Rahul Dravid, Chaminda Vaas and Anil Kumble, finishing the match with figures of three for 16 off 2.1 overs. Last Tuesday, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) defeated an International XI also led by Lara by 112 runs and the former Windies captain said he was satisfied with playing for a worthy cause. "This was my third match and it was fantastic to raise so much money for the appeal, Lara said. "It is great that cricket has made such an effort."
