The semifinals of the Junior Calypso Competition took place on Tuesday July 26th, with eighteen (18) future stars facing the judges. On Saturday July 30th nine (9) of these Junior Calypsonians will compete at the Children’s Carnival Frolic for the title of Junior Calypso Monarch. The nine Junior Finalists are: Chalton Charles Etieron Edwards Lendon Telesford Monique Cummings Dahlia Alexander Candice Paul Zedell Jeffrey Rashard Isaac Larria Alexander The Children’s Carnival Frolic will take place this Saturday at the Tanteen Netball Court starting at 1 p.m. The admission is $10 for Adults and $5 for Children. The Parade of the Junior Bands will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Financial Complex and proceed along the Carenage onto the Tanteen Top Road to the Tanteen Netball Court. The Children’s Carnival Frolic will also feature a Junior Panorama Competition and Junior Pageant. Additionally, the young ones in attendance will be entertained by the appearance of cartoon characters including the Power Puff Girls.
