The 37 Grenadian students who are currently pursuing studies in Mexico participated in an International Day last Wednesday (20th July, 2005) at El Centro de Estudios Para Extranjeros (CEPE), Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. The students who are recipients of scholarships from a joint collaboration between the Grenadian and Mexican Governments are at CEPE expanding their knowledge in Spanish while at the same time learning different aspects of the Mexican Culture. The Grenadians put on a colourful performance of true Grenadian spirit with renditions of “We are from Grenada”, “Somewhere in the Blue Caribbean Sea” and “I Love Grenada”. There was also a display of Grenadian art and craft which included Spice Dolls and Spice Baskets. Also on exhibit was a slide show depicting a number of interesting facts about the Spice Isle.
