MINISTERS OF AGRICULTURE MEET WITH CARRIACOU FARMERS
St. George’s: Ministers with responsibility for Agriculture, Hon. Gregory Bowen and Hon. Roland Bhola were in Carriacou yesterday meeting with farmers. The Ministers held consultations with farmers on a number of areas including plans for farm resuscitation after the impact of Hurricanes Emily and Ivan. The Ministers and a technical team also toured the farms in Carriacou to see for themselves the damage done by Emily. Minister Bowen believes that this tour is absolutely vital. He says his Ministry has already been meeting with farmers right across Grenada and assessing the damage first hand. Minister Bowen believes that firsthand knowledge is absolutely critical in understanding the current plight of farmers and dealing with their needs. Bowen believes that Government has to act immediately to assist farmers right across Grenada. Source: Ministry Of Agriculture
