|
|
The Board of Directors of the Caribbean Development Bank has approved a US$10 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank.
The money will be used for the proposed reconstruction, recovery and development of Grenada which suffered extensive damage from hurricane Ivan last year.
The CDB board gave the go-ahead during a meeting recently which was chaired by president, Dr. Compton Bourne.
Additionally, the CDB has approved almost half a million US dollars for technical assistance to Guyana.
It says the funds will be used to develop projects that will seek to increase revenue in agriculture and commerce.
