St. George’s: The Ministry of Education commenced a series of meetings today with Principals of both Primary and Secondary Schools on the island. The meetings are schedule to update principals on rehabilitation efforts. The Ministry of Education has been working diligently with contractors and donor agencies to ensure that as many schools as possible, are completed in time for the new school term starting September 5. In cases where rehabilitation work has not commenced or is pending completion, the Ministry has embarked on building temporary classrooms or finding alternative locations for students. Ministry officials commended the principals in attendance for their continued sacrifice and commitment to the rebuilding efforts. Ministry officials will travel to Carriacou on Wednesday where they will meet with principals from Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Source: Ministry of Education
