GRENADA GOVERNMENT HAPPY WITH RESULTS OF NACTA POLL
St. George’s: The Government of Grenada welcomes the results of the North American-Caribbean Teachers Association poll which show that the people of Grenada have confidence in the Government and the Prime Minister to run the country. The Government believes that this will only serve to boost international and regional confidence in the N.N.P. Government administration and help to bring even more benefits to people of the country. The Government feels that a positive image is vitally important in its overall effort of securing funding and other forms of assistance to rebuild the country. The Government believes that the vote of confidence by the people as expressed in the poll is as a result of Government’s hard work and commitment to building back Grenada better. Government also believes that the many consultations it has been having with various groups across Grenada has helped to inform officials about what the people of the country want and how best to deliver those needs. Government officials however, were not entirely surprised as they have been getting similar messages as they moved around the country meeting with different groups. This positive message has also come from many foreign Governments and international agencies like the International Monetary Fund who have given Grenada high praise for its reconstruction efforts. However, in spite of the positive results Government still believes that there is an enormous amount of work to be done to rebuild the country. Government will continue to work and continue to highlight the positive work being done by Grenadians right across the country in rebuilding this country. Source: Office of the Prime Minister
