The Government of Grenada would like to extend thanks and appreciation to the Government and people of St. Lucia and the Government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the support rendered in maintaining peace and security on the island after the passage of Hurricane Ivan. The Government recognises the important role that both St. Lucia and St. Vincent played in housing and returning prison inmates from Grenada. During the passage of Hurricane Ivan the prison facility at Richmond Hill sustained major damage. However, this facility has since been repaired. All inmates have been retuned to the Richmond Hill Prison except those who have cases pending in other countries. Source: Ministry of National Security
