Minister of Transport Dr. the Hon. Clarice Modeste- Curwen and Minster of Energy Hon. Gregory Bowen met with members of the National Bus Association yesterday, September 20.This meeting was held in the light of an increase in the price of gas as of October 1. Discussions surrounded the increase in the price of gas and the reflection of this increase on bus fares Through previous discussions with the Bus Association a Memorandum of Understanding was set between Government and the Association. This Memorandum of Understanding was the basis for the favorable discussions held today and the proposal made by the Bus Association. This proposal will be discussed at a press conference which will be held on Friday September 23, 10 a.m. to inform the public as to the agreements made.
