ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada: Beginning Monday September 26, 2005, Grenadians will have another opportunity to receive free, first class medical attendance, when the fifteen-member team of medical experts from the Millennium Sistahs, Inc, supported by the Ministry of Health, takes its medical caravan across the country. The organization, which is made up of Pediatricians, Podiatrist, Nurses, Psychiatrists, Dentist, Social Workers, a CPR Instructor and a religious Minister, is based in Long Island New York and was founded by Ms. Glenda Hills, a Trinidadian citizen. On Monday, September 26, the team of professionals will conduct a general clinic at the Grand Bras medical station for the people of St. Andrew before moving to the Gouyave Health Center the following day, Tuesday, September 27. Then on Wednesday the 28th, another general clinic exercise will be held in St. George’s at the newly built St. George’s Health Center. The final open house health caravan general clinic will take place on September 29 at the Sauteurs Health Complex. Throughout the one-week health mission, the program will be coordinated locally by the Director of Community Health Services, Dr. Christine La Grenade. According to the organization’s founder and President, Ms. Glenda Hills one of their goals is to reach out to the Caribbean and Caribbean nationals worldwide; to promote health care and preventative measures for improvement and wellness, in keeping with their mission which is to enhance the lives, promote and sustain visibility, professional growth, and provide mentoring services to young women and adults globally.
