DRUG CONTROL SECRETARIAT EMBARKS ON NEW PROJECT  
The Drug Control Secretariat has commenced a project to increase drug control information in all schools. The programme will involve the provision of electronic information on compact discs, with information on various aspects of the national drug control programme. This method of providing data would make such information easily accessible and available to the students and teachers for research and instructional purposes. The first phase of the programme, which commenced in September 2005, involved the provision of CD’s with data to secondary schools. These CD’s contain information on the following subjects: i. Country Report ii. Drug Demand Reduction Project iii.Drug Information iv. Grenada Drug Information network v. Multilateral Evaluation Mechanism vi. National Council On Drug Control vii.National Schools’ Policy on Drugs viii. Newsletter ix. Research Studies x. Statistics Phase two of the project would be done in January 2006, with the production of another batch of CD’s with a documentary on Drugs and its linkage with HIV/AIDS.
