GRENADA COMPLETE WINDWARDS ISLANDS DOUBLE  
Grenada beat Dominica by three wickets in the final One Day match of the Windward Island series last Tuesday to make a clean sweep of the tournament. Grenada, who captured the league title in three-day competition last week, bowled Dominica out for 113 and then easily chased down their target, reaching 118 for seven. Dominica's batting was led by the in-form Samuel Mitchell who scored 36 while Mervin Matthew, 19 and Wayne Philip, 16 were the other contributors. Former West Indies leg spinner Rawl Lewis was the pick of the bowlers grabbing three for five while Troy George finished with two for eight and Ronald Etienne, two for 29. Grenada's reply was led Kevil George who top scored with 27 while Clyde Telesford hit 20. There were three run outs in the Grenada innings while Mervin Matthew claimed two for 15. At the Beausejour Cricket Ground, St Vincent and the Grenadines produced a fine batting performance to beat St Lucia by 60 runs. After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, SVG scored 214 for nine in their 50 allotted overs with Hyron Shallow hitting 42 and Miles Bascombe scoring 30. Romel Currency also scored 29 while Donson Andrews, 24, Roland Wilkinson, 23, were the other main contributors. Garey Mathurin was the most successful bowler for St Lucia with three for 31. In reply, the St Lucians struggled throughout their innings before falling for 154 in 41.2 overs with Craig Emmanuel top scoring with 24 and Alvin La Feuille hitting 23. Captain Darren Sammy and Sergio Fedee both hit 19 while Marlon John grabbed three for 33 and Hank Hall, three for 35. Nurlon Williams took two for 22.
