GRENADA CABINET SAYS FAREWELL TO CUBAN AMBASSADOR  
The Grenada Cabinet said farewell to Cuban Ambassador His Excellency Humberto Rivero today. His Excellency Humberto Rivero will be returning to Havana to take up posting at the Caribbean Affairs Desk. Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell indicated that the Cuban Ambassador’s efforts have certainly made a difference in the vast support Grenada has received from the Spanish-speaking Caribbean island, particularly after hurricanes Ivan and Emily. His Excellency Humberto Rivero was described as being hard-working and a true friend of the Grenadian people, who went all the way in ensuring the development of specific sectors, including, Health, Sports, Education, Agriculture and Tourism. Dr. Mitchell’s sentiments were echoed by his Cabinet colleagues, who recognized the Cuban Ambassador as a helpful friend, wherever there was need. They expressed the hope that bond of friendship existing now between the two countries is on a path destined to grow stronger. According to Tourism Minister, Hon. Brenda Hood and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture, Hon. Roland Bhola, His Excellency Humberto Rivero is an honorary Grenadian, having placed himself squarely amidst the culture of the Grenadian society.
