BIOGRAPHY
Septimus Edwin Ogilvie was born in Mardigras, St. Paul’s, St. George’s, Grenada, on November 4, 1963. He was the eighth of 10 children born to Willie and Rita Gulston and was known by everyone as Seppy and lately as “Raster or Ras”. He was a caring, loving and humble son, father, brother and friend.
Seppy received his primary and formal education at the St. Paul’s Government School also known as The Model School. He later worked with NAWASA at the Mardigras Water Treatment Plant as a Plant Operator for approximately 24 ˝ years. Seppy was multi-talented and he learned different trades. He became a very prominent plumber and electrician, whom the public depended on.
Seppy was a caring and supportive son, father, brother and friend who was always ready and willing to assist in whatever way he could. He was a tower of strength and encouragement in his family and the type of person that one could rely on. He was quick to offer guidance whenever and wherever necessary.
Seppy loved and was very protective of his two children, Kimon and Jodie. He also loved his nieces and nephews, who although they were bigger and older than him, nonetheless respectfully called him “Uncle Seppy”.
Seppy will always be remembered as a sweet, compassionate, affectionate, modest and adorable young man; a young man of integrity and reverence, who was well loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
